Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 12 oz sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp TABASCO® Sauce
  • 8 oz sharp cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 oz mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 4 oz pepper jack cheese, grated
  • 4 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 12 oz bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 round sourdough bread (about 16 oz)
  • Olive oil for brushing the bread bowl

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. Cut the top off the sourdough bread and hollow out the inside, leaving a 1-inch thick wall.
  3. Brush the inside of the bread bowl with olive oil and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and TABASCO® Sauce. Mix until smooth.
  5. Fold in cheddar, mozzarella, and pepper jack cheeses.
  6. Add green onions and crumbled bacon (reserve some for garnish).
  7. Spoon the mixture into the pre-baked bread bowl and top with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 45–60 minutes or until the dip is hot and bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with reserved bacon and green onions, and serve immediately with dippers of choice.

Notes

  • Don’t skip pre-baking the bread bowl—it prevents sogginess.
  • Use freshly shredded cheese for best texture and melt.
  • Mix the filling a day ahead and store it chilled before baking.
  • Customize with jalapeños, sausage, or sun-dried tomatoes for added flavor.
