Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Easter M&M candies
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix just until incorporated.
  6. Gently fold in Easter M&M candies and optional chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto baking sheets, spacing cookies evenly.
  8. Bake for 9–11 minutes, until edges are set and centers look slightly soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if the cookies spread too much.
  • Press extra M&Ms on top before baking for a bakery-style look.
