  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp honey or sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
  • 2 tbsp water (optional, for sauce)

Instructions

  1. Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Slice beef thinly against the grain and lightly season with soy sauce.
  3. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, and honey or sugar to make the sauce.
  4. Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook beef in a single layer until browned, then remove and set aside.
  6. In the same pan, stir-fry broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots until tender-crisp.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • Do not overcook noodles to avoid a mushy texture.
  • Cook in batches to prevent overcrowding the pan.
  • Add a splash of water when reheating to keep noodles moist.
  • Use fresh vegetables for the best flavor and texture.
