8 oz lo mein noodles
1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp honey or sugar
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup broccoli florets
1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
2 tbsp water (optional, for sauce)
Instructions
Cook lo mein noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
Slice beef thinly against the grain and lightly season with soy sauce.
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, garlic, and honey or sugar to make the sauce.
Heat oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Cook beef in a single layer until browned, then remove and set aside.
In the same pan, stir-fry broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots until tender-crisp.
Return beef to the pan and add cooked noodles.
Pour in the sauce and toss everything together until evenly coated.
If desired, add cornstarch mixed with water to thicken the sauce.
Cook for another 2–3 minutes, then serve hot.
