Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 bags (7 oz each) Pepperidge Farm Chessman Butter Cookies
  • 6-8 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups milk (whole or 2%)
  • 2 small boxes (3.4 oz each) French Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
  • 8 oz Cool Whip, thawed

Instructions

  1. Line the bottom of a 13×9-inch pan with one layer of Chessman cookies.
  2. Add a layer of sliced bananas evenly over the cookies.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth.
  4. Gradually add milk and pudding mix to the bowl. Blend for 2–3 minutes until thickened. Chill mixture for 10–15 minutes.
  5. Gently fold in the Cool Whip until well combined.
  6. Pour the pudding mixture over the banana layer in the pan.
  7. Top with the remaining layer of Chessman cookies.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight, before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture and flavor.
  • For added flair, drizzle caramel or sprinkle crushed nuts before serving.
  • Can be made 24 hours ahead for deeper flavor.
  • Replace Cool Whip with homemade whipped cream if desired.
  • Top cookies just before serving to keep them crisp.
