Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups melting chocolate (milk, dark, or white)
  • 30 mini marshmallows (vegan or regular)
  • 12 teaspoons vegetable or coconut oil (optional, for thinning chocolate)
  • ⅓ cup melting chocolate (for drizzle decoration)
  • Pink candy coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place a silicone heart mold on a baking tray that fits into your refrigerator.
  2. Add melting chocolate to a microwave-safe bowl or piping bag and heat at 50% power for 1 minute. Stir, then continue in 10-second intervals until smooth.
  3. If chocolate is too thick, stir in 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil at a time until the right consistency is reached.
  4. Pipe about 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into each cavity and use a food-safe brush to coat the sides evenly.
  5. Refrigerate the mold for 3 minutes to firm up the chocolate shell.
  6. Add one mini marshmallow into each cavity.
  7. Pipe additional melted chocolate over the marshmallows until cavities are full and smooth.
  8. Gently tap the tray on the counter to remove air bubbles and refrigerate for 10 minutes until set.
  9. Carefully unmold the chocolate hearts once firm.
  10. For decoration, drizzle melted chocolate over the hearts or use pink-tinted white chocolate for a festive finish.
  11. Allow decorated hearts to set before storing or gifting.

Notes

  • Always melt chocolate at 50% power to prevent burning.
  • Use vegan marshmallows and dairy-free chocolate for a vegan or gluten-free version.
  • Store candies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
  • Avoid refrigeration to maintain chocolate’s glossy finish.
  • Pack hearts in mini cupcake liners for gifting.
