Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz cranberry juice
  • 1 oz amaretto liqueur
  • 1 oz orange juice (no pulp)
  • 1 oz vodka (optional)
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • 1 orange wedge (for rim)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (for rim)
  • Fresh cranberries (for garnish)
  • Orange slices or wedges (for garnish)
  • Cinnamon sticks (optional)
  • Rosemary sprigs or mint sprigs (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rub an orange wedge along the rim of your glass and dip it into sugar. Set aside.
  2. Fill the glass halfway with ice.
  3. In a shaker, combine cranberry juice, amaretto, orange juice, and vodka (if using). Shake well.
  4. Strain and pour the mixture into the prepared glass over ice.
  5. Garnish with cranberries, orange slices, cinnamon stick, or rosemary sprig if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use colored sugar or cinnamon sugar for a more festive rim.
  • Chill ingredients in advance to avoid diluting the drink with melted ice.
  • Freeze cranberries to keep drinks cold without watering them down.
  • Pulp-free orange juice ensures a smoother texture.
  • Mix base ingredients ahead of time and add vodka before serving.
