  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks (optional)
  • 1 small red onion, cut into pieces (optional)
  • Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

  1. Cut the sirloin steak into evenly sized cubes and place them in a bowl.
  2. Peel and devein the shrimp, then rinse and pat them dry with paper towels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Thread steak, shrimp, and optional vegetables onto skewers, alternating ingredients.
  5. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (375–400°F).
  6. Place the kabobs on the grill and cook for about 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally.
  7. Brush the kabobs with garlic butter while grilling for extra flavor.
  8. Cook until shrimp turn pink and steak reaches your preferred doneness.
  9. Remove from the grill and allow them to rest for a few minutes.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy.

Notes

  • Cut steak pieces evenly to ensure consistent cooking.
  • Do not overcook shrimp because they can become rubbery.
  • If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • You can cook these kabobs in the oven at 400°F for about 12–15 minutes.
  • Extra garlic butter can be brushed on after grilling for more flavor.
