Crunchy Base
8 cups Rice Chex cereal
2 cups mini pretzel twists
White Chocolate Coating
12 oz white candy melts or white chocolate chips
1 tablespoon coconut oil or vegetable shortening
½ teaspoon flaky sea salt
Halloween Mix-Ins
1 cup candy corn
1 cup Halloween M&Ms
½ cup Reese’s Pieces
2 tablespoons Halloween sprinkles
Instructions
Line two rimmed baking sheets with parchment paper.
Add Rice Chex and pretzels to a very large bowl.
Microwave candy melts and coconut oil at 50% power in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth.
Pour over the cereal and pretzels and fold gently until evenly coated.
Spread on the baking sheets, cool 3 to 4 minutes, then scatter the candy, sprinkles, and flaky salt on top and press in lightly.
Let set 30 minutes at room temperature or 10 minutes in the fridge. Break into clusters and store airtight.
Notes
Contains peanuts (Reese’s Pieces) and milk; leave out peanut candies for nut-free classrooms and label bags.
Keep all utensils dry so the white chocolate does not seize.
Stays crunchy up to 1 week in an airtight container.
