Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups mini pretzel twists or rods
  • 1 cup candy melts (assorted Halloween colors: orange, green, purple, black)
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil (optional, for thinning candy melts)
  • 1/2 cup Halloween sprinkles and jimmies
  • 1/4 cup candy eyeballs
  • Parchment or wax paper (for setting)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and arrange pretzels in a single layer.
  2. Melt candy melts in microwave-safe bowls in 30-second intervals, stirring between each round until smooth. Add coconut oil if needed to thin.
  3. Dip pretzels into melted candy or drizzle coating over them using a spoon or piping bag.
  4. Quickly add candy eyes and sprinkles while the coating is still wet.
  5. Let pretzels sit at room temperature or chill for 10 minutes until set.
  6. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free pretzels if you need a gluten-free version.
  • Add crushed Oreos or graham crackers for a fun ‘dirt’ effect.
  • Use tweezers for more precise eye placement.
  • Make in batches to prevent the coating from hardening before decorating.
