  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar together until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes to prevent spreading.
  8. Roll the dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut out heart shapes using a cookie cutter.
  9. Place cookies on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  10. Bake for 9–11 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  11. Allow cookies to cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
