1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup almond meal
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ripe nectarines, thinly sliced
Powdered sugar, for garnish (optional)

Apricot glaze, for finishing (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the tart crust into a tart pan.
Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
Mix in almond meal and vanilla extract until smooth.
Spread the frangipane evenly into the tart shell.
Arrange sliced nectarines decoratively over the filling.
Bake for 35-40 minutes until the filling is set and lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and cool completely.
Brush with apricot glaze if desired.
Dust with powdered sugar and garnish with sliced almonds.
