Ingredients

Scale
  • 36 Oreo cookies – base flavor and texture
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened) – binds truffles and adds creaminess
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract – adds refreshing minty flavor
  • 12 oz white chocolate or candy melts – for dipping
  • Crushed candy canes – for decoration and crunch

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
  2. Transfer crumbs to a bowl and add softened cream cheese and peppermint extract. Mix until fully combined and dough-like.
  3. Roll mixture into small balls using a tablespoon or cookie scoop and place on a parchment-lined tray.
  4. Chill the rolled truffles in the refrigerator or freezer for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  5. Melt white chocolate or candy melts in 20-second microwave intervals, stirring between each.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  7. Place truffles back on parchment paper and sprinkle with crushed candy canes before the coating sets.
  8. Refrigerate until the chocolate is firm, then serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • Use regular Oreos, not double-stuffed, for best texture.
  • If the dough feels too soft, chill longer before rolling.
  • A little peppermint extract goes a long way—avoid overuse.
  • For a glossy finish, add 1 tsp coconut oil to melted chocolate.
  • Store truffles in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
