Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso (or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (oat milk or whole milk preferred)
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour milk into a small pot and heat over medium-low until hot but not boiling.
  2. Brew espresso or coffee and pour into a large mug.
  3. Add pumpkin puree, maple syrup, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla to the coffee. Stir well.
  4. Froth the milk using a frother or whisk until foamy.
  5. Pour frothed milk over the pumpkin-coffee mixture. Spoon foam on top.
  6. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin spice if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use unsweetened pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
  • Oat milk froths well and complements the pumpkin flavor.
  • Make your own pumpkin spice blend using cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and cloves.
  • For a sugar-free version, substitute maple syrup with monk fruit or stevia.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
