Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen mulberries
  • 3 cups cold water
  • 24 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Ice cubes (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. Rinse fresh mulberries thoroughly under cool water and remove any stems. If using frozen mulberries, let them soften slightly.
  2. Add mulberries, water, sugar, and lemon juice to a blender.
  3. Blend until completely smooth and vibrant in color.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher to remove seeds and pulp.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or lemon juice as needed.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  7. Serve chilled over ice and garnish with mint leaves if desired.

Notes

  • Start with less sugar and adjust gradually to taste.
  • Frozen mulberries can be blended directly without thawing.
  • For a sparkling version, replace part of the water with sparkling water after blending.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Stir well before serving as natural pulp may settle.
